At a New York City screening of her latest film, A24’s *We Live in Time*, the Oscar-nominated star gave the enduring sheer trend a fresh, bohemian twist.

Pugh donned a lacy black dress adorned with frilly ruffles along the deep neckline and short structured sleeves. Beneath the dress, she sported a black triangle bra and high-rise black underwear. A black leather belt with silver hardware cinched her waist, and she accessorized with sky-high black platform heels and celestial-themed gold jewelry from Dior.

At the event, Pugh was accompanied by her *We Live in Time* co-star Andrew Garfield, who looked sharp in a dark gray double-breasted suit, white collared shirt, and black leather dress shoes.

In the film, Pugh and Garfield portray Almut and Tobias in a romantic dramedy that spans decades. In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Pugh shared what attracted her to the project.

“As Brits, we’re raised on the quirkiest and most beautiful love stories. It’s been a while since we’ve seen one like that,” she said. “When I read the script, I fell in love with the idea of being part of a movie that will resonate with many and endure for years to come. At its core, it’s about the simplest truth: we are here, I believe, for one reason — to love and be loved.”
