The Harris campaign, riding the wave of a successful debate night, is eager for another face-off with Donald Trump. Kamala Harris has expressed her readiness for a second debate with the former president, while Trump remained non-committal when asked about the possibility in the post-debate spin room.

"But I don't know if we're gonna do another one. I wouldn't mind," Trump remarked to reporters.

Vice President Kamala Harris just completed her first presidential debate against Trump, and she’s already keen for a rematch.

"Under the bright lights, the American people witnessed the choice they will have at the ballot box this fall: moving forward with Kamala Harris or going backward with Trump," stated Harris campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon in a statement Tuesday night, following the debate.

"That’s what they saw tonight, and it’s what they should see at a second debate in October. Vice President Harris is ready for round two. Is Donald Trump?"

Despite the Harris campaign’s enthusiasm, Trump didn’t immediately agree to a second debate when questioned afterward.

"I think it was the best debate I’ve ever had, personally," Trump said in the spin room.

"Now, she wants another one because she got beaten tonight," Trump continued. "But I don’t know if we’re gonna do another one. I wouldn’t mind."

Trump also praised his own "polls" and mentioned he had a "good time" during the debate.

Tuesday marked the first time Harris squared off against Trump since she took over as the Democratic nominee from President Joe Biden.

Trump vs Harris Debate Fuels Unusual Betting

Biden had his own initial presidential debate with Trump back in June but dropped out of the race a month later following a weak performance against Trump.

This time, Trump’s visible anger was on display throughout the debate, while Harris managed to provoke him with jabs about his rally crowd sizes, delivering her remarks with a piercing side-eye.
