Jake Tapper calls Trump’s debate performance 'Like a 4chan post come to life,' while praising Kamala Harris' focused strategy.

CNN’s Jake Tapper succinctly summed up Donald Trump’s debate performance on Tuesday night with just seven words: “Like a 4chan post come to life.”
4chan, an anonymous imageboard site, gained notoriety as a hub for spreading conspiracy theories. The platform is also infamous for being the birthplace of QAnon, a far-right conspiracy movement that has found support from some Republicans.
Trump vs Harris Debate Fuels Unusual Betting
During the network’s post-election coverage, Tapper also noted that supporters of Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump’s debate opponent, must “be pleased with her performance tonight.” Tapper described Harris’ debate style as “focused on telling voters that she cares about them, and she has a plan for them.” He also highlighted how Harris effectively provoked Trump into anger “again and again,” particularly by criticizing the size of his rally crowds and his ongoing legal battles.
Tapper’s remarks came after Trump spent much of the 90-minute debate attacking Harris on immigration, repeatedly referring to her as the Biden administration’s “border czar.”
“What about all the people that are flooding into our country and killing people? That she allowed to come in. She was the border czar. Remember that,” Trump said. “She was the border czar. She doesn’t want to be called the border czar because she’s embarrassed by the border. In fact, she said at the beginning, I’m surprised you’re not talking about the border yet.”

Trump further linked immigration to unfounded claims about immigrants in Ohio “eating the pets of the people who live there,” along with other conspiracy theories.
“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in,” Trump claimed. “They’re eating the cats. They’re eating—they’re eating the pets of the people who live there.”
CNN anchor Chris Wallace followed up on Tapper’s comments, suggesting the debate was “just as devastating” for Trump as his previous clash with Biden. “Harris pitched a shutout on almost every issue,” Wallace remarked.
