Trump Weighs Second Debate with Kamala Harris

Trump considering whether to engage in a second debate with Kamala Harris after declaring victory in polls from the first debate.

Former President Donald Trump revealed that his team is still contemplating whether he will participate in another debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, following her team’s immediate call for a second debate scheduled for October.

“I’d be open to NBC, maybe FOX as well, but right now we have to decide if we even want to,” Trump remarked after a visit to the Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department in Pennsylvania.

“We’re considering it,” Trump continued. “When you win, you don’t always have to do it again, so we’ll see.”

“When you lose, it’s like a boxer—when a fighter has a bad match, gets knocked out, or loses, the first thing they want is a rematch. But we won the debate, according to every poll, every single one. Will we have a rematch? I don’t know,” Trump said. “But we’ll think about it.”

A CNN flash poll conducted after the debate showed that registered voters who watched generally believed Harris outperformed Trump.

As reported by CNN this morning, a top official from Harris’s campaign declined to confirm whether Harris would agree to a second presidential debate on NBC on September 25, following her performance on Tuesday.

Trump described his interaction with Harris at the 9/11 commemoration ceremony as “very polite.”

“Just, uh, very polite, very polite,” Trump said, when asked what was exchanged between him and Harris.
